Medical Qualifications

Miss Sandra Jayne Watson qualified from the University of London in 1994 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1999. Miss Watson has achieved specialist qualifications in Obstetric ultrasound, gynaecological ultrasound, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery. She went on to receive a Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound and Special Skills Module in Gynaecological Ultrasound from the college in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Her Certificate of Completion of Training was awarded in 2006.

Medical Experience

Miss Watson trained in and around London and undertook specialist skills modules in intermediate level laparoscopic surgery and advanced hysteroscopic surgery. She is currently Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, and Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She has private clinics and admitting privileges at Holly House Hospital, Buckhurst Hill; Spire Roding Hospital, Redbridge; and the London Independent Hospital.

Her specialist interests include early pregnancy problems (including recurrent miscarriage); gynaecological ultrasound (including 3D ultrasound for congenital uterine abrnormalities); foetal medicine and obstetric ultrasound; ambulatory gynaecology (including outpatient hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic procedures such as sterilisation and endometrial ablation); laparoscopy; ovarian cysts; and fibroids.
