Medical Qualifications

Dr Stefania Bonaccorso graduated in 1996 with a psychiatry degree from the University of Rome. Following this she started as a clinical fellow in Paris. Dr Bonaccorso went on to complete a PhD in the interaction between immune system and depression at the University of Antwerp and Maastricht in 2005.

Medical Experience and Training

Dr Bonaccorso has conducted pre-clinical and clinical psychopharmacology research studies in the United States. Dr Bonaccorso currently works at the National Psychosis Unit and is a clinical lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College. She is available for private patient appointments at Cardiac Screen Ltd.

Her main interests include affective disorders, atypical antipsychotics, bipolar illness, depression, fibromyalgia, hepatitis C, interferon alpha, metabolic syndrome, personality disorders and psychosis.
