Medical Qualifications

Dr Saad Al-khalaf qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1971. He went on to train in a general medicine rotation before completing a Diploma in Psychiatry and Neurology in 1984. His further specialist training was undertaken at St Charles, St George and the Maudsley hospitals, London.

Medical Experience and Training

Dr Al-khalaf was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2005. For 23 years, Dr Al-khalaf was the leader of a team aimed at strengthening psychiatry in the northeast Hampshire region; he introduced a number of self-help groups and has been an integral supporter of local social services and support groups.

Dr Al-khalaf has been an educational supervisor for over twenty years and has been an examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1989.

He specialises in the treatment of older adults including dementia and resistant depression and is available for consultations at the Priory Hospital, Woking.
