Medical Qualifications
Dr Richard John Barlow qualified with a Bachelor Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1983 from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He went on to complete an MD at the University of London in 1995. Dr Barlow was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001.
Medical Experience
Dr Barlow was Lead Clinician at the Dermatological Surgery Unit, St John’s Institute of Dermatology between 1998–2006. He has previously been the President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and the St John’s Dermatology Society.
Dr Barlow is currently a Consultant Dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’s Hospital and Moorfields Hospital, London.
Dr Barlow specialises in Dermatological and Mohs micrographic surgery as well as cutaneous laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He also treats skin cancer and photodamage along with vascular and pigmentary disorders.
He is available for private patients at The Lister Hospital, London.
