Medical Qualifications

Dr Sundip Patel qualified from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 1992 and completed his specialist training in Cardiology at St Thomas’ Hospital on the London Deanery Training Programme. He subsequently completed an interventional cardiology training fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital. Dr Patel was also awarded a Clinical Research Training Fellowship from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charitable Foundation.

Medical Experience and Training

In 2006 Dr Patel was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at Queen Elizabeth and St Thomas’ hospitals and also practises privately at Cardiac Screen Ltd. He has presented his research into non-invasive techniques to quantify cardiovascular risk at national and international meetings and has published widely. He has a special interest in cardiovascular risk management (including high cholesterol and hypertension), coronary angioplasty and ischaemic heart diease.
