Medical Qualifications

Dr Colin Macdougall undertook his initial medical studies at Birmingham in 1973 (MB ChB). His further training was based at the Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine, University College of Rhodesia where he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 1985.

Medical Experience

Dr Macdougall worked in a wide variety of medical environments including Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia after his training. Currently he is a Private Consultant at The Princess Grace Hospital, London and is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology Independent Doctors Federation.

His main clinical interest surrounds general gastroenterology such as upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy and colonoscopy, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) and dyspepsia. Other areas of interest include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease, alongside screening for colorectal polyps and cancer.
